Autoweb CC operates the vehicle marketplace at www.autofair.co.za. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and the applicable regulations.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information including: name, email address, phone number, physical address, and identity documents (for dealers). We also collect vehicle information, listing data, and usage analytics including page views, search queries, and device information.
3. How We Use Your Information
Personal information is used to: create and manage your account; facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers; send listing updates and platform notifications; improve our services; comply with legal obligations; and for fraud prevention and security purposes.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: verified dealers (buyer contact details shared only after consent); payment processors for billing; legal authorities when required by law; and service providers who assist us in operating the platform under data processing agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a period thereafter as required by law. Vehicle listing data may be retained for statistical and fraud prevention purposes.
6. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
